Byzantine Teardrop Earrings
I made these long Teardrop earrings by using a Chainmaille pattern named Byzantine. The way I get them to have that wonderful shape is by using different wire and link sizes. For these I've used six different wire gauges (24, 22, 20, 19, 18, & 16 gauge) and eleven different link sizes to make them start tiny and perfectly transform to the large size at the bottom. To make these earrings I wrap, cut, assemble, and weld each link. I've been making Chainmaille for over 20 years and I love the timeless process.
