Brass Byzantine Necklace
This Chainmaille necklace is made using an ancient pattern named Byzantine. Byzantine is by far the most popular Chainmaille pattern. I’ve been making and selling it since 1999 and I still love this pattern and wear a bracelet made from it myself. I made this bracelet from solid 19 gauge Jewelers Brass wire. I start by wrapping the wire around a rod. Then I cut each link from that coil by hand. Then I assemble each link and weld them closed as I work. My welded Chainmaille is indestructible and will last a lifetime. Because I weld each link closed, they don’t catch on hairs and feel softer and smooth than other Chainmaille.
